Delta Psychology Privacy Policy Effective Date: 1 December 2025
1. Our Commitment We are committed to protecting your privacy in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Psychology Board of Australia’s Code of Conduct (2025).
2. What Data We Collect
Personal information (Name, DOB, Address).
Sensitive information (Medical history, cultural background, case notes).
Digital metadata (if using telehealth or digital intake forms).
3. How We Store Data
We do not store paper files. All data is encrypted and stored via Cliniko.
Data Security: We utilise Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) to protect your records.
Third-Party Access: We will strictly not share your data with third parties (e.g., insurers, lawyers, family) without your explicit written consent, unless required by law.
4. Your Rights
Access: You can request to access your client file. We will respond within 30 days.
Correction: You may request corrections to your file if you believe information is inaccurate.
Withdrawal: You may withdraw consent for us to hold your data, though we are legally required to retain health records for a minimum of 7 years (or until age 25 for minors).
5. Complaints If you have concerns about your privacy or our conduct, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) or AHPRA.
